READING HALF MARATHON 2010

Sunday 21st March 2010 saw Alton Student Annabel Berry running the Reading Half Marathon. (Total runners 18000).

It was a beautiful day with hot sunny
spells, making running quite difficult at times. The course was quite hilly and covered some
of the town centre, industrial and residential areas and finished at the Madejski Stadium.

After several months of training Annabel claimed
8409th position and completed the course in 2:08:44, which was a new personal
best (last completed the course in March 2008 in 2:11)

Annabel decided to run this half marathon in aid
of Guide Dogs for the blind and raised £350 (approx) through sponsorship, an
awareness and fundraising event at work, guess the name of the puppy
competitions and a cake stall. She is really grateful for the support and generous
sponsorship especially those from fellow Taekwon-Do club mates Maddy and Gail, thank you!!
